About the artist

I am a painter and illustrator living along the Hudson River. I work with oil paint, colored pencil, and digital media, and enjoy learning through experimentation and new processes. My work is rooted in close observation of the natural world and the built environment, with particular attention to the landscapes, architecture, and everyday details of my local communities. Most of all, I make art to step away from my screen and return to working with my hands. My work is guided by a connection to place and the quiet beauty of what’s close.
